DNV GL verifies UNA Group’s infection prevention protocol
The UNA Group Hotels and Resorts reopen after the official UNAsafe protocol has been verified by DNV GL. The UNAsafe protocol communicates to and assures customers that infection prevention measures are in place to keep them safe.
Ensuring guests of high and controlled safety standards is essential as UNA Group Hotels and Resorts are reopening doors in major Italian’s cities and main holiday destinations.
With a radically changed context of travelling, the largest Italian hotel chain has proposed a new model, in which the well-being of the guest is always guaranteed through application of the official UNAsafe protocol for infection prevention, which has been verified by DNV GL.
With the launch of the official UNAsafe protocol, UNA Group has adopted a series of operational measures to guarantee the maximum safety for its guests. To emphasize its commitment and ensure even higher hotel standards, UNA Group has also created the new "UNAsafe" label to build trust in measures taken and assure customers of an experience that is not only safe, but also "clean, sanitized and guaranteed".
The procedures outlined in the UNAsafe protocol go beyond the precautions indicated in the World Health Organization guidelines, the decrees of different national authorities and the national protocol for hotels.
UNA Group identified three key areas within their operations: focusing on the cleaning and implementation of medical and health care facilities, the guarantee of physical and social distancing and behavioral and safety practices. For example, upon arrival guests will be offered a free Welcome Kit in a sanitized bag containing disposable mask and gloves. Plexiglas screens during check-in will ensure proper physical and social distancing, while online procedures will allow for easier and safer registration and payment.
To provide full transparency of its protocol and measures to guests, the UNA Group contracted DNV GL for verification of its protocol and application at the hotels and resorts. “An independent third-party verification not only of the protocol, but also of its implementation helps ensure the effectiveness of the protocol in keeping guests and employees safe. Demonstrating commitment and responsibility, it builds the trust in safety required by everyone these days,” says xxxx.
