Anne+Kvam+joins+DNV

DNV has moved to strengthen its sustainability consulting business with the appointment of Anne Kvam from Norges Bank Investment (NBIM)

Kvam comes from the position as Global Head of Ownership Policy with NBIM, which manages the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global. DNV is an independent foundation whose purpose is to safeguard life, property and the environment and which has 10,000 employees in 100 countries. In addition to its core risk management services to the maritime and energy industries, DNV provides consulting and certification services relating to sustainability and Kvam will take on the role as Principal Sustainability Consultant in DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability Norway, strengthening the solutions concerning environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities.

DNV’s Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, Bjørn K. Haugland, states: “We’re proud to welcome Anne Kvam on board the growing and successful DNV sustainability team. Kvam has a unique combination of skills, merging sustainability, industrial and financial approaches to strategic and operational risk management. She comes from an important position and has great industry insight and a well-established network, making her an asset in the strengthening of DNV’s penetration of the market for environmental, social and governance services.”

Kvam is a licensed solicitor, holds a law degree from the University of Oslo as well as an MBA from University College Dublin and has a strong industrial and financial background from Norske Skog, NBIM and various directorships. She joins a team of 15 experts in the Norwegian market, working closely with 200 sustainability advisors and auditors in DNV worldwide. Her appointment follows DNV’s acquisition of UK-based sustainability agency Two Tomorrows Group.
