In a recent survey conducted among young professionals, DNV climbed to a top three position in the category: Norway’s most attractive employer for engineers. The survey is done on a yearly basis and includes close to 4.500 respondents with an average age of 35 years and 8 years of professional experience.

On December 9th, the employer branding consulting company Universum presented a closer look at the results from the survey for HR people at Høvik. The survey includes questions on drivers for employer attractiveness, and helps us define a clear message to our future employees. Analysis of the results shows that DNV is perceived as matching the professional’s current top career goals such as work/life balance, competitive/intellectual challenge, financial strong company with a good reputation, providing professional training and development and a competitive base salary.
The other companies in the top ten list included Statoil, Aker Solutions, Kongsberg Gruppen, Shell, Conoco Phillips, Hydro, Rambøll, Norconsult and Subsea7.
HR Director in Division Norway Finland and Russia, Trude Helgesen, received the diploma for this year’s award on behalf of DNV Norway, in a ceremony held earlier this month.
“I would like to thank all of our employees for the good work they do on employer branding”, Helgesen says.
“This important activity is not carried out only by HR and Marketing people, but also through the positive storytelling and attitude you all help spread in your day-to-day communication with customers, peers and friends outside of DNV. This will most certainly help us going forward with recruiting activities in a heated labor market in 2012. It is also worth mentioning that employer branding is high on the agenda in 2012, with a project initiated by Corporate HR and Communications”, she finishes.
For professionals within Business and IT, DNV is also clearly an employer of choice – we ended up in 16th place on both lists.
