Første runde av årets Albert-konkurranse starter 1. februar. Etter tre fullførte runder arrangeres årets finale i DNVs hovedkvarter på Høvik ved Oslofjorden.
Søker studenter som skal finne løsninger for oljeberedskap i Arktis
Oljevirksomhet i Arktiske områder vil kreve nye løsninger for oljeberedskap. – Denne utviklingsoppgaven vil vi i sommer gi til ti kreative studenter innen ingeniørfag, økonomi eller andre fagområder, sier Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen, direktør for DNVs direktør for Norge, Russland og Finland.

Fremtidens fiskefartøy
Ålesund: DNV lanserer nå et konsept for hvordan fremtidens fiskefartøy kan se ut. Her står effektiv drift, bærekraft, sikkerhet, miljø og flerbruksmuligheter sentralt. Utenom fiskesesongen kan fartøyet brukes i kysttransport eller offshorevirksomhet, til oljevernberedskap, som serviceskip for offshore vindmølleparker, ja, det kan til og med designes for å produsere kraft og rent vann for nødsituasjoner f eks etter naturkatastrofer, noe som antas være aktuelt for mange land. Men først og fremst er dette en fiskebåt.

DNV åpner nytt kontor i Ålesund

OSLO: Calculations performed by the classification society DNV demonstrate that the damage on the Very Large Ore Carrier (VLOC) Vale Beijing was not caused by any global strength issue. DNV does not believe that single pass loading (covered by the class notation EL-2) contributed to the damage.

DNV establishes Deepwater Technology Centre in Singapore
DNV has launched a Deepwater Technology Centre in Singapore. The aim is to serve the oil and gas industry in the whole Asia Pacific region and to become a sizeable and complete competence centre for deepwater oil and gas developments. “We will capitalize on DNV’s 40 years of experience in offshore and deepwater, and on the leading position of our well established deepwater centres in Houston, Oslo and Rio de Janeiro,” said DNV’s COO Remi Eriksen at the opening ceremony in Singapore.
