The students were tasked with creating a fictional shipping company, run on LNG fuel, that would operate in an ECA (emissions controlled area), meeting the upcoming ECA requirements. The students carefully evaluated all options for meeting the ECA requirements and concluded that LNG is the environmentally superior fuel choice, as well as being most profitable in the long term.
